It speaks to those moments when unspoken words linger in our hearts, yet pride and fear hold us back from expressing our true feelings. The song reflects on how we often act like everything is okay, while memories of closeness and intimacy still whisper in our minds. It's a bittersweet ode to knowing someone so deeply and then pretending to be strangers. As the melody unfolds, it evokes the taste of nicotine and the pangs of nostalgia, painting a vivid picture of love, loss, and reflection.
I chose blue as the sole color for this video because it embodies what love means to me.
Blue is deep, like the ocean or the night sky, with layers that seem endless. It represents honesty and openness, inviting you to dive in, yet its depth can be intimidating, much like the ocean itself - often leading us to linger on the surface, fearing to go all the way in.
This color guided me in exploring the complexities of love and relationships, particularly those that ended without closure. It allowed me to confront the bittersweetness that lingers when emotions are left unresolved and what it takes to heal from it.
This song is a love letter to all who have unfinished business in their hearts looking for a way to put that in words.
